Me muero por tener algo contigo

V.O.S. is fantastic!! It certainly should be quite present at Goyas night. The four actors are great (though as usually those with vaginas were more enjoyable), and the script is very witty in its content and yet very fresh in the form. Long live Vicenta N'dongo!!
I'm getting ready

And I've seen The Order of the Phoenix.
And I liked them quite much.
And I learned something. Intolerance is bad.

Opening 10th July / Prejudices without Pride
1. Brüno: I haven't seen Borat but I like Sacha Baron Cohen (he's hilarious in Sweeney Todd) so... Seeing it.
2. The Proposal: I'm one of those people (there are a lot!) who hate Sandra Bullock for no reason whatsoever. Not seeing it.
3. Beyond a reasonable doubt: Jesse Matcalfe? Really? Michael Douglas? Seriously? Together? Not seeing it.
4. Paintball: These movies terrify me. It looks both scary and bad. Not seeing it.
5. Un novio para mi mujer: Argentinean comedies freak me out. And the trailer is not funny. Not seeing it.
6. V.O.S.: This looks nice and it's of possible Goya interest. Seeing it.
Not a bad weekend. Not a good one either.

Trembling flesh
Watching Carne Trémula, it's somehow noticeable that the script is not original. It has almodovarian touches but deep down and in episodic characters. What I enjoyed most about the movie are three female (Almodóvar and the actresses) characters. Those portrayed by Penélope Cruz, Ángela Molina and Mariola Fuentes (¿a ti no te gustan los fruitis?). The rest of the cast is less "eye-popping".

Letter...
A hundred posts with the family...
(Post #100!!) Tres dies amb la família is an amazing film. All the actors are great, so natural, so subtle... I went with three friends to the movies and each one had a character they understood better without coinciding. I'm not sure I'm making myself clear, but what I mean is that the movie understands all the characters, the movie has no favourites. Great script with superb dialogues, a very personal direction. Nausicaa Bonnín and Eduard Fernández (in the picture) are amazing. Really great film.domingo, 5 de julio de 2009
Where to find a penis / vagina?
Bardem sucks a lot in this film. Victoria is good, though not at her best. And the script is just entertaining nonsense. What do the dogs mean? Was that prologue necessary?sábado, 4 de julio de 2009

Opening 3rd July / Prejudices without Pride
1. Okuribito (Departures): Foreign language Oscar and it seems a moving film. And it's so cool to say you loved the last movie by Yôjirô Takita... Seeing it.
2. Ice age: Dawn of the dinosaurs: I saw the trailer for this before Wolverine and two people actually died of laughter. It's a lie but they laughed a lot and I couldn't figure out why. It was sooooo not funny. Not seeing it.
3. The last house on the left: Haven't seen the original and not planning on seeing the remake. Not seeing it.
4. Pagafantas: The first movie by the director of TV hilarious show Vaya semanita. I can't believe I'm saying this about a movie that stars Michel Brown but... Seeing it.
5. Tres dies amb la família: Won some awards at Málaga festival and I have some traction towards it. Seeing it.
A busy weekend it seems. Good thing it's summer already...

Oh no, he didn't!
Scatology, incest, three-ways, transvestites, drugs, rape, cosmetic surgery, pedophilia... Basically every taboo is shown and mocked of in Laberinto de Pasiones. By Almodóvar (who else?) in 1982.The movie is possibly one of the less good (I can't use the word worse referring to Pedro) films of the Spanish director but it shows his fearless spirit. And it is so bold it's a lot of fun.

Like May Water (July and in a lesser extent)

When you have a drink with Austrians at a funeral, you may need subtitles.
Thoughts in the middle of the year
The best of the year this far has been (if I was like Emily Blunt, Anne Hathaway or James Franco and I had been invited to the academy and Oscars were to happen right now, my ballot would be):
1. Coraline
2. Los abrazos rotos
3. The Boat that Rocked
4. La Vergüenza
5. Siete Minutos
6. Star Trek
7. The Young Victoria
8. State of Play
9. Duplicity
10. Coco avant Chanel
Considering that I have seen 14 films of 2009, my insight is not quite profound. The four films not included are Watchmen, Tetro, Obsessed and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Only two films will pass to history (my history at least): Coraline and Los abrazos rotos.

Who is it?
.jpg)
It's Be who won the Bet award for female R&B Artist and Video of the Year for Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it). And she's gorgeus in that Balmain. She should be nominated for a Best actress Oscar for Obsessed (ehem...).

On the other hand some movies...
